The good vessel Time
waits anchored in the harbour,
I hope the chewing gum keeps it glued together,
I carry alms for you
You are not young and I am not familiar,
Though we are both middle class
that doesn’t mean a lot to you,
I feel the cicada skin of your body next to mine,
And still hear the sound of your voice through the walls,
Could what you know count less than you think?
When we ruined too easily
I stayed standing, leaning against that wall,
But the wall leaned away,
All I ever meant to do was love you,
Though I was frightened I overdid it
And in that final hour I stood naked,
dripping wet, in gumboots
with roses and grapes.
Baby you were dumbstruck,
Oh how we laughed
Now we set forth in different directions over wretched waters,
Uncertainty claimed the last ship that sailed,
It may be some time before we sight land,
Don’t mistake me for a stranger
When we get there, we’ll build our homes of new hopes
And I know
The sweet and sour tides will come and go
Until once more we’ll look to our separate skies
and believe it can rain again

well, i think poem is created by the writer categorized vastly depend on witer’s life experiences.
poem is one of expression.
is it about battle or war? or it could be politics, dilettante, religion, peace, place, someone, something, opinion, feeling, sentiment, experience, sensation, or even victim of life.
and write it so smooth
not everyone could write it.
skill to write is necessary, talent is the miracle but life experience is the best value.
it makes poem has sense.
write poem like write code
watch National Treasure movie starred by nicholas cage? is full of breaking codeword and every words mean things.
every single word has more than one sense. it means a lot.
while understanding poem is needed for breaking that codeword.

wow.. aku pikir kamu tidak bisa bahasa Indonesia sama sekali, tapi bahasa Indonesiamu bagus juga..
ok, seperti ini penjelasan dari kalimat “semakin gembel semakin tajam tulisan yang keluar” yang berarti gembel disini bahwa kamu benar-benar merasakan dari apa yang telah kamu alami, kamu rasakan dan menuliskannya dalam sebuah puisi sehingga pada akhirnya setiap kata dari puisimu tersebut benar-benar penuh arti yang dalam, tajam, sangat bermakna, dan akan sangat menyentuh.
gembel sebenarnya berarti miskin, miskin berarti sengsara, dan sengsara menimbulkan rasa empaty, rasa empaty mengeluarkan kreasi dan kreasi yang keluar akan sangat menakjubkan dan menyentuh.
itulah kenapa semakin gembel semakin tajam tulisan yang keluar

I think the great thing about poetry is that it can mean different things to different people. So do not worry if you are not sure of what I may have meant, the important thing is your own meaning. For me, puisi ini kira-kira bercerita tentang loved someone. How about for you?
