NE Thailand
Exiting Laos stage left I find myself in Ubon Ratchathani.Its my first experience of Thailand outside Bangkok, and it’s so different. Nice tree lined roads. Relaxed pace. No pestering. Friendly people – a local vendor tells me there’s a big fair going down in the name of New Year’s would I like to come with her? Sure why not. Southern Laos – in the dark
The Mekong river is the 12th largest river in the world. Most of it is in Laos. From Phnom Penh Cambodia, you can go all the way to KP falls in Laos by boat. And so we did.I say we, because now I was travelling with a Cambodian girl I met in Phnom Penh. Read the rest of this entry »
